Fone Bone

Cross Posted to WeLoveAmigurumi

I finished my first Christmas present project. I made Fone Bone from the comic Bone for my brother who is a huge fan. I also made many accessories for him.

Here is a side view of Bone:

And a close up of his messenger bag:

But wait - what's that in his bag? Why it's his copy of Moby Dick, of course!

And I made one of Bone's good friends from the Valley: Ted the Bug! Just don't call him a leaf or you'll have to deal with his big brother!

Shortly after Bone arrives in the valley, it snows. Apparently he had a paper bag with him because he uses it for a hat. No mention is ever made of it, it is just sort of there.

And after the problems are resolved, Bone takes a holiday quiche to the Rat Creatures. In this comic, he is wearing a scarf.

If you are not familiar with Bone, you can check out what he looks like at the website Boneville.com: http://www.boneville.com/bone/

ETA: I based my Bone on the pattern by Cthulhu Crochet and Cousins - http://cthulhucrochet.blogspot.com/2008/03/bone-of-boneville-with-free-pattern.html, but mine deviates quite a bit from the posted pattern. Only the head is the same.

This is absolutely fantastic!!! I love how he came out! I am trying to make my own and I know this was added a few years ago, but is there anyway you could post the pattern for how you did the arms and legs? I would love for my Fone Bone to have little fingers like yours. Thank you! :)

If only I had my notes somewhere (if I even took notes!). I think what I probably did for the fingers was to chain two or three and then sc back across those chains, and then ch another 2 or 3 for the next finger. If I had him here, I'd be able to look at it and tell you what I did, but my brother has it across the country. I would suggest that you stalk the WeLoveAmigurumi group and see if you can figure something out from there. You could post a question and someone would probably be able to help.

Sorry. It was so long ago - I wish I remembered what I did. :(
